Destino. »

A collaboration between Disney and Dali. Turned out beautiful.

“To a song of love lost and rediscovered, a woman sees and undergoes surreal transformations. Her lover’s face melts off, she dons a dress from the shadow of a bell and becomes a dandelion, ants crawl out of a hand and become Frenchmen riding bicycles. Not to mention the turtles with faces on their backs that collide to form a ballerina, or the bizarre baseball game. From the melting clocks and hourglass sand, to the figure rendered in strips, to the character covered in eyeballs, the style and themes of Dalí are clearly recognizable throughout.”

Yay!

Just got a late-night email from my lecturer for design-management, telling me that she is really content with my redesign for the brochure of our client.

I’m in such a good mood right now. And motivated. I guess even that motivated that the next thing I’ll do is to just grab my other book right now and keep on reading about how to write cascading stylesheets and produce liquid or fixed web layouts.

This Must Be the Place by Miles Fisher.
Originally by Talking Heads.

Besides being a cover of a song, the video itself is also a cover, of sorts, of American Psycho’s Patrick Bateman. Fisher does an insanely fantastic job basically being Bale/Bateman’s doppleganger while the team behind the video pull of a great redux of the set and overall look.

Nice video-homage to the movie, which is one of my all-time favourites.

Looking for fluorescent colours or any type of fluorescent coating for a space installation I’m working on.

Anyone an idea where I might get them? DIY store?
